6/7 -
Yesterday was our biggest day yet with 70,204 steps. Let's keep up the good work, and we should be able to exceed those totals once we get numbers from Ann, Mike, and Ryan. I think we can hit 100,000 steps in a day, so let's do it!

Welcome to Salt Lake City!
The current temperature is 89 degrees, but it's a dry heat. Out official destination was the Utah State Capital:
I've been to Salt Lake City several times, and it's a nice city. You can learn more about it here. We'll now be leaving the host city of the 2002 Winter Olympics and heading to Connor, Idaho. Not a lot to work with as far as destinations right across the state line. The population of Salt Lake City is about 1.3 million. The population for the state of Idaho is 1.6 million. The population of Cassia County, Idaho is 20,066, but I can't find the population of Connor.
Let's welcome aboard Ann, Ashley, Erica, Jill, Mike, and Ryan to the journey. Also, congratulations to Mom for becoming the third person to pass 100,000 steps.

6/3
Today was a tough one to reach 10,000 but I ended up reaching 10,000 for the 30th straight day. Ashley has now officially joined in on the walk, and we're making good progress on the road from Fayette, Utah to Salt Lake City. We're about 43% of the way there, without numbers yet from today for Michelle, Mom, or Lynn.
With Michelle's steps from today she should cross the 200,000 step milestone!
Today's musical number is by Saint Motel, the appropriately named Move!

6/2
I was looking at our numbers last night for our old Walk Across America. We made it about a year last time, and got within 580 miles. And we is probably a stretch, because towards the end I was the only one logging miles. For the most part everyone dropped off after seven weeks -
| Week 1 | 176.5 |
| Week 2 | 182.5 |
| Week 3 | 169 |
| Week 4 | 158 |
| Week 5 | 204 |
| Week 6 | 182 |
| Week 7 | 213.5 |
| Week 8 | 67.5 |
| Week 9 | 65.9 |
| Week 10 | 40 |
| Week 11 | 41.5 |
It was definitely more fun with everyone logging miles and walking. The more interactive the better to keep us moving toward our goal.
If Michelle keeps up her pace this week she'll be the second to reach triple digits in mileage. Let's keep on moving!

Welcome to Fayette, UT
I don't like the long legs, I like reaching destinations a little bit sooner, so I've decided to break up the legs a little bit to provide better updates on where we are. While we are still heading towards Craters of the Moon National Monument in Idaho we're going to stop first in Fayette, UT:
The population in the 2000 census was 204. Since we've departed Bryce Canyon we've passed through places such as Widstoe, an actual ghost town, Osiris, Antimony, Angle, Greenwich, Koosharem, Sigura, Aurora, and Redmond.
We'll now be heading to Salt Lake City, UT - 110.7 miles away. Hopefully, we'll get there within the week!
Ashley will now be joining the walk, at least once school is out, or dies down.
Tonight's musical selection is Passion Pit - Take a Walk

A New Month
Welcome to June! We're now entering the second month of our challenge to walk through the 48 continental United States. We've already seen the Grand Canyon, and Bryce Canyon on our trip as we head towards Craters of the Moon National Monument in Idaho!
Out of our 50 legs our first was on the easy side, ranked 34th in mileage. Our second leg is ranked 8th in mileage, but we're 26% of the way there with only 347.9 miles left. We should reach Idaho this month, and our final destination in October, of 2020...
The May numbers are a little skewed because I started tracking on 5/5, but let's take a look at our step leaders:
1) Glenn - 342,042
2) Michelle - 175,636
3) Mom - 63,594
4) Lynn - 15,000
5) Dad - 0
